Dragons of Camelot – Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: 23/12/2025
1. Introduction and Scope
Welcome to Dragons of Camelot, a web-based multiplayer game provided by PPKL Ltd. (“Company,” “we,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Dragons of Camelot game, website, and related services (“Services”). By registering an account or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.
- Entertainment Use Only: Dragons of Camelot is offered for your personal entertainment. It is intended solely for non-commercial, leisure purposes. Any business or commercial use of the game or Services is strictly prohibited.
- Applicable Law: Our game is operated in the United Kingdom, and these Terms are tailored to comply with applicable UK laws and regulations. Users must also comply with any local laws in their jurisdiction when using the game.
2. Account Registration and Eligibility
2.1 Registration Requirement
To access multiplayer features of Dragons of Camelot, you must create an account. You agree to provide truthful, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated if it changes. This may include choosing a unique player name and providing a valid email address for verification and communication.
2.2 Eligibility
Only individual, natural persons are allowed to register accounts – no corporations, groups, or automated registrations. You may maintain only one account per person, unless the game explicitly allows alternate accounts in specific circumstances (e.g. one per game world). Persons under 16 years of age are not permitted to register or use this game. By registering, you represent that you are 16 or older and fully competent to agree to these Terms. The game is not intended for children under 16, and we reserve the right to request proof of age if necessary.
2.3 Account Security
- Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (username and password) and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must not share your account or transfer it to others without our consent.
- If you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or a breach of security (e.g. theft or loss of your password), you must notify us immediately and change your password.
- We may temporarily suspend or lock your account if we have reason to believe it has been compromised until the issue is resolved.
- You are not permitted to use another user’s account, or allow anyone else to use your account, except as expressly allowed by specific game rules. Impersonating another player or misrepresenting your identity is prohibited.
2.4 Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or otherwise using the Services, you affirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any other rules or policies we may publish. If you do not agree or are not eligible, you must not register or use the game.
2.5 No Right to Access
Participation in the game is a privilege, not a right. We reserve the right to refuse registration or access to any user at our discretion. Creating an account does not guarantee continued availability of the game or any specific feature, which may be modified or discontinued as described in these Terms.
3. User Obligations and Proper Use
3.1 Accurate Information
You agree to keep your registration information (and any other information you provide to us) truthful and up-to-date. This includes promptly updating your email address or contact details if they change. We may ask you to confirm the accuracy of your data from time to time.
3.2 Account Use and Security
Your login credentials are personal to you. Do not disclose your password to anyone and do not allow others to access the game using your account. You are responsible for all activities conducted through your account. If you learn of any unauthorized access – for example, if you believe someone else has discovered your password or is logging in as you – notify us immediately and change your password. We may also take action (such as suspending the account) to protect you, other users, and the integrity of the game if we suspect unauthorized access or fraud. Remember that you must never use another user’s account without permission. Impersonating another player or misrepresenting your identity is prohibited.
3.3 Game Use and Conduct
When using Dragons of Camelot, you agree to behave honestly and respectfully towards all players and our staff. You must adhere to any game rules or codes of conduct we publish, in addition to these general Terms. In the event of a conflict, these Terms will take precedence unless specific rules state otherwise.
- No Disruption or Hacking: You may not engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the normal operation of the game servers, website, or network. You must not attempt to hack, cheat, inject malicious code, or otherwise undermine the gameplay experience or software for others. Prohibited activities include unauthorized access attempts, exploit abuse, unwarranted automation, or transmitting malware/harmful data.
- No Circumvention: You must not use tools to mask your identity or location inappropriately when connecting to the game, including using proxies or anonymization services to evade restrictions or bans.
- Allowed Software: Only use the official Dragons of Camelot client (if provided) or standard web browsers to access the game. Unauthorized third-party software or scripts (bots, hacks, mods, automation) are forbidden. Data mining, packet interception, and similar activities are prohibited.
- License to Game Client: If the game requires downloading any client software, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the client solely for accessing the game in accordance with these Terms. You must not copy, modify, distribute, decompile, or reverse engineer any game software except as permitted by law.
3.4 Community Standards – Prohibited Behavior
Dragons of Camelot is a multiplayer game, and we strive to foster a friendly, fair community. When interacting with others (through in-game chat, forums, or any communication channels we provide), you must not engage in any behavior or share any content that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation, or encourages others to do so.
- Infringes the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights.
- Is obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit; is hate speech or contains discriminatory slurs; depicts excessive violence; or is otherwise harmful to minors.
- Is abusive, harassing, or defamatory toward others (including bullying, stalking, doxing, intimidation).
- Involves spam, advertising, or commercial activities without our prior written consent (including chain letters, pyramid schemes, solicitation).
- Impersonates any person or entity, or falsely implies sponsorship or endorsement by the Company.
- Contains personal data of another person without that person’s consent.
- Is otherwise against common decency or the spirit of fair play.
We reserve the right to determine what behavior is considered misconduct and to take action accordingly.
3.5 User-Generated Content
If you create or share any content within the game (such as forum posts, chat messages, custom profile content, etc.), you remain responsible for that content. We do not claim ownership of your in-game communications or forum posts; however, by posting or transmitting content through our Services, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content as needed to operate the game and community. This license ends when you remove or we delete the content from our Services.
We are not obligated to monitor all user content, but we reserve the right to do so (including via automated tools or moderators) to enforce these Terms and community guidelines. We may remove or edit any user content that violates these rules or is complained of as unlawful by others. The Company disclaims liability for user-generated content; the views expressed by players are their own.
4. Game Rules and Virtual Goods
4.1 Single Account Per Player
Unless specifically allowed by the game rules, you may only create and use one account in Dragons of Camelot. You cannot create multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage. Accounts that violate this rule may be suspended or removed.
4.2 Cheating and Unauthorized Software
You are strictly prohibited from using, creating, or distributing cheats, hacks, mods, bots, or any third-party software that modifies the game experience or gives you an unintended advantage. Exploiting bugs or glitches for gain is also considered cheating—please report bugs instead of abusing them. You may not intercept network traffic or probe systems to find vulnerabilities or extract data (“data mining”).
4.3 Fair Play Only
You must not engage in behavior that excessively burdens or disrupts the game environment for others. Do not block, alter, or obscure any in-game content or user interface provided by the Company unless expressly allowed.
4.4 No Real-Money Trading
All in-game items, currency, and resources (“Virtual Goods”) exist only as part of the Dragons of Camelot experience. You may not buy or sell accounts or Virtual Goods for real money or value outside the game. Trading within the game is permitted only if explicitly enabled by official game mechanics.
4.5 Virtual Goods and Currency License
When you acquire Virtual Goods (including in-game currency, items, or subscription benefits), you obtain a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use those features within the game for the duration of your account and in accordance with these Terms. You do not own Virtual Goods; they remain the property of the Company. Virtual Goods have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real money or tangible items.
We may modify or remove Virtual Goods (e.g., balance updates), and availability is not guaranteed. All purchases are final and non-refundable except at our discretion or as required by law. If your account is terminated or reset, you lose access to Virtual Goods with no compensation to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5. In-Game Purchases, Subscriptions, and Payments
5.1 Optional Purchases
Dragons of Camelot is free to play, but we offer optional in-game purchases (Virtual Goods) and may offer subscriptions that provide benefits for a recurring fee.
5.2 Pricing and Payment
Prices will be shown at the point of purchase in your local currency and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. When you confirm a purchase, you are making an offer to buy the selected Virtual Goods for the indicated price. The purchase is completed when we (or our payment processor) successfully receive your payment and credit the Virtual Goods to your account.
Payment Processing: Payments are handled by our authorized third-party payment service provider, Stripe, Inc. (and its affiliates), or other payment partners depending on method. We do not directly receive or store your full payment card details. Stripe processes your payment and notifies us that the transaction is completed. By making a purchase, you agree to comply with Stripe’s terms and your payment method’s requirements.
We may record limited data (such as IP address/country) for tax calculation (e.g., VAT), fraud prevention, and legal compliance. We may receive fraud-related feedback (e.g., chargebacks) and may take action if fraud is suspected.
5.3 Subscriptions
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel before renewal.
- Cancellation: You can cancel at any time to prevent future renewals. Cancellation does not retroactively refund the current period. You retain benefits until the end of the paid period. A notice period (up to 14 days before renewal) may apply where stated in-game.
- Price Changes: We may change subscription prices and will notify you in advance, giving you the chance to cancel before the new price applies. Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
- Trials and Promotions: If offered, we will explain trial length and pricing after the trial. Unless you cancel before trial ends, you will be charged the regular price.
- Refunds: Digital purchases are generally non-refundable once delivered/started, except as required by law. We may review billing errors case-by-case. Statutory consumer rights are not affected.
5.4 Failure to Pay and Chargebacks
If your payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend or revoke access to Virtual Goods/subscriptions. If we incur costs due to a reversed payment (including unjustified chargebacks), you agree to reimburse associated fees where the reversal was caused by your action/inaction. We may terminate services for non-payment after notice and an opportunity to resolve where appropriate.
5.5 Virtual Currency Specifics
Virtual currency balances do not constitute real-world money or property and can only be used in-game. We may impose purchase/holding limits, and certain currency (e.g., bonus currency) may expire under terms disclosed in the game. We may adjust earning rates, pricing, or availability as part of game updates and promotions.
6. Enforcement and Consequences of Violations
6.1 Investigation
We may investigate suspected breaches, including reviewing chat logs and gameplay records. We may monitor and record in-game activity (including communications) as needed to enforce Terms and maintain safety, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
6.2 Actions We May Take
If we determine you violated these Terms, we may take one or more actions, including:
- Remove or modify content (including hiding pending review).
- Issue warnings.
- Temporarily suspend the account or features (e.g., chat ban).
- Permanently ban the account (including possible IP/device bans).
- Restrict specific game functions.
- Reset or roll back progress and remove illicit gains.
- Terminate and delete the account (see Section 8).
6.3 Notice of Action
Where reasonable, we will notify you of enforcement action and the reason (e.g., via email). For severe misconduct (fraud/hacking), we may act immediately and notify afterwards.
6.4 No New Accounts (Ban Evasion)
If your account is suspended/terminated, you may not create or use another account to bypass restrictions. Ban evasion may lead to further enforcement.
6.5 Liability for Breaches and Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and partners against claims arising from your violation of these Terms or illegal conduct, including reasonable legal fees where permitted by law. This obligation survives termination.
7. Limitations of Liability and Disclaimers
7.1 Service Availability
We cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The game may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or technical issues. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by downtime or malfunctions, but we will make reasonable efforts to restore service.
7.2 As-Is Provision of Service
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7.3 Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including liability for fraud, or death/personal injury caused by negligence). Subject to that:
- No Indirect Damages: We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, punitive, or exemplary damages (including loss of data, progress, Virtual Goods, profits, or substitute costs).
- Cap on Direct Damages: Our total liability for all claims will not exceed the total fees you paid to us in the six (6) months before the claim (or, if greater, £50).
- Slight Negligence: Where permitted, liability for slight negligence is limited to breach of essential contractual obligations and to foreseeable, typical damages.
7.4 Release
You agree not to hold the Company responsible for the actions of other players. If you have a dispute with other players, you release the Company from claims arising from such disputes, except where we failed to meet our own obligations under these Terms.
7.5 User Back-ups and Data
We do not guarantee that game data will never be lost or corrupted. You are responsible for keeping your own records where needed. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of data in the game.
8. Term and Termination of Service
8.1 Term of Agreement
This agreement starts when you accept these Terms and continues until terminated by you or us. The contract is of indefinite duration.
8.2 Your Right to Terminate
You may terminate your account at any time by using a “Delete Account” feature (if available) or contacting support. Upon termination, you lose access to the game and associated progress/Virtual Goods. We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy (including deletion/anonymization where appropriate).
8.3 Our Right to Terminate or Suspend
Termination with Notice: We may terminate without cause by providing at least 30 days’ notice (e.g., via email or in-game notice), including if we discontinue the Service.
Termination/Suspension for Cause: We may suspend or terminate immediately for cause, including material breach, severe disruption, cheating/hacking, multi-accounting, real-money trading, harassment, fraud, chargeback abuse, legal requirements, or loss of rights needed to operate the game.
8.4 Effect of Termination
- Your right to use the Services ceases immediately.
- Licenses for Virtual Goods end; we may delete/erase game data.
- No refunds for unused Virtual Goods except as required by law.
- We may retain certain information where required/permitted by law.
- Provisions that should survive termination will survive.
8.5 Inactive Accounts
We may terminate inactive accounts after notice. Generally, if you do not log in for an extended period (typically at least 90 days, and not more than 240 days), we may classify the account as inactive and delete it after notice if you do not log in within the specified period.
9. Miscellaneous
9.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer outside England, mandatory consumer protections in your country may also apply.
9.2 Dispute Resolution
Please contact support first so we can try to resolve disputes informally. If unresolved, the courts of England have non-exclusive jurisdiction, and you may also be able to bring claims in your local courts under applicable law.
EU ODR Notice: EU consumers can use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at http://www.ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obligated to participate in ODR proceedings.
9.3 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms for legitimate reasons (game changes, legal requirements, security). We will notify you of material changes in advance by posting the updated Terms and, where feasible, via email or in-game notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
9.4 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
9.5 Severability
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
9.6 Entire Agreement
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any posted rules constitute the entire agreement regarding the Services.
